Technology Business Chief takes Seedcorn Role

Dr Neil LoxleyThe driving force behind the transformation of a Durham-based specialist scientific instruments business into a listed global equipment company has been appointed as board member by Yorkshire 's White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund (WRTSF), which is managed by Aberdeen Asset Managers.

Dr Neil Loxley joins the team of WRTSF board members who bring wide-ranging commercial expertise to make key decisions on the early stage seedcorn Fund that invests in exciting new technology emerging from the universities of York , Leeds and Sheffield .

Neil's experience of leading Bede, a small university start-up technology company, through to a main listed public company gives him the invaluable insight into a sector and business process which the WRTSF role will demand. A York University Physics graduate with a PhD in Solid State Physics and Diploma in company direction from Durham University , Neil is also the named inventor in five patents and named author in 16 scientific papers.

Says Neil, “I wanted an opportunity to apply my skills and experience to benefit developing businesses and the investment communities. Being a White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund board member gives me exactly this.”
